DEVON HALFNIGHT LEFLUFY

Devon Halfnight LeFlufy is a Canadian born designer, who has lived and worked in Montreal, New York and now, Antwerp. Devon has honed his craft interning with Maria   Cornejo, Denis Gagnon and now under Walter Van Beirendonck at the Royal Academy of Antwerp.  Devon is also a two time recipient of the prestigious Fondation de la Mode de Montreal Scholarship.  “Burn the sage”, his latest  collection is informed by a Native American technique of cleansing by burning sage, combined with Devon’s continuing experimentation with treatments and textures.  Juxtaposing hand oxidized embroidery with fine wools, destroyed leathers with delicately hand dyed cottons and metal shaped by a Belgian blacksmith with soft black pony skin Devon builds his unguarded, concise take on menswear. Though still in school Devon’s capsule collections have been sold beside brand such as Alexander Wang, Bless, Gareth Pugh,and Rick Owens.  Select pieces from “Burn the sage” can be purchased at the internationally renowned RA13 concept boutique in Antwerp.  Devon is also known for is ongoing collaboration with Swedish photographer Erika Rodin who is the creative force behind the beautiful analogue pictures that accompany Devon’s Work.  With many exciting projects and collaborations in the near future  Devon Halfnight LeFlufy is a young talent to watch.
