WILLIAM RICHARD GREEN x UNDERGROUND @ ASOS
We’re really happy to present the new collection of Underground Shoes by menswear designer William Richard Green for ASOS. The East London designer drew on both the 1989 arrival of the rave scene in England and football hooligans for his 2012 collection and describes his signature style as ‘playful, utilitarian and masculine’. There are three shoes available from the collection on ASOS which include a Suede Toe Cap Shoe, a Polka dot Shoe and a Commando style shoe.
RECORD STORE DAY
Saturday 21st April is Record Store Day – an international day of support and celebration of independent record shops. To mark the occasion we thought we’d post a run down of our favourite London vinyl peddlers…
ROUGH TRADE EAST
Rough Trade started in 1976 and has two iconic stores. With our HQ just around the corner, we favour the Brick Lane premises – a 5,000 square ft loft-style store, café and gig space which offers a huge range of music to East London’ music lovers.
SISTER RAY
The Soho based shop has been running since 1987 and has fought through the era of music downloads, continuing to be a vibrant shop for west end music lovers. Noted for it’s appearance on the cover of Oasis’ (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? the shop sells a wide variety of quality music.
PHONICA RECORDS
Opened in 2003 the Soho store is the more modern pick out of our three. With a slick interior and a focus on dance music, it’s become one of London’s well loved record stores putting on parties, events and managing their own record label.
UNDERGROUND @ ACTUALLY
Our Singapore suppliers Actually Shop, shared photos of their new Underground Creepers range which we had to share as the shoes look amazing. They are selling an incredible range from fuscia pink Wulfrun Creepers to the more understated black leather Brogue Shoes. See our Facebook Page for more and visit the Actually Shop website here.
