KEITH HARING: 1978–1982

Keith Haring is one of the best known artists from the 20^th century and had a huge impact on modern arts, fashion and culture. Keith Haring: 1978–1982 at Brooklyn Museum sees one of the first large scale exhibitions to explore his early career and includes artworks, viceos, rarely seen sketchbooks, journals, exhibition flyers, posters, subway drawings, and documentary photographs. A rare insight into the talent behind the hugely influential icon. The exhibition runs until July 8, 2012 at the Brooklyn Museum.

Thelma Aoyama x Underground

Singer Thelma Aoyama this week visited the Underground x Candy Pop Up shop in La Floret. Thelma picked up a pair of Underground x Ashish Creepers, which come with a pen so that you can customise your own shoe. Here are her efforts, which she posted on her own blog. OLEK AT TONY’S GALLERY

Around the corner from Underground offices, at Tony’s Gallery, we spotted this vibrant exhibition by Polish born New York based artist Olek, entitled “I Do Not Expect to be a Mother but I Do Expect to Die Alone”. For her first UK solo show, Olek has tranformed a bedroom style setting by crocheting everything in sight – from the bed to domestic items such as an ironing board and shoping trolley. The exhibition finale this weekend sees the work bathed in black light for it’s closing party.

We’ll be posting exclusive photos of new shapes, collaborations and designs – as well as the day to day fun which happens in the office and on our travels. UNDERGROUND CREEPER WEDGE

They are here! We have just launched the highly anticipated new Underground Creeper Wedge shoe, which Kingdom of Style previewed last week. The Creeper comes in 6 colourways – from black to fuscia and leopard. They can be purchased from our online shop and will also be launching in exclusive colourways on Office and ASOS shortly.

UNDERGROUND X CANDY TOKYO POP UP SHOP

We’re very excited to tell you about the launch of a brand new Pop Up Shop in Tokyo, Japan, in collaboration with fashion store Candy. The Pop Up, which opened this week, will run until 4th April and will sell a wide selection of Underground Creepers, as well as shoes from previous collaborations with Ashish, Cassette Playa, Fam Irvoll and Lazy Oaf. We will also be launching and selling a number of new collaborations throughout the event – follow our Twitter for news on these.

We had to blog this shoot from photographer and stylist Alis Pelleschi on Vice Style. ‘The New Parliament’ imagines some of our favourite musicians, including Sun Ra, MF Doom, George Clinton and Lee Scratch Perry in a kaleidoscopic, futuristic photo shoot. THE NEW UNDERGROUND CREEPER WEDGE

This is an exclusive look at a completely new shape for Underground – the Underground Creeper Wedge. The shoe will be released in two initial colourways – fuscia/leopard and black/ leopard,  as seen below. We sent one of the first pairs to Michelle from Kingdom of Style. Her verdict? ‘Shoe perfection’.

These shoes will be released exclusively on the Underground web store very soon. The release will be announced on our Facebook page first – like our page so you can be one of the first to buy the new Underground Creeper Wedge.
